With less than seven weeks until the big day, the countdown to Christmas has officially begun at Manchester City.
To kick off this year’s festivities and to celebrate the launch of the yuletide retail range, we took six of our players on a trip down memory lane to enjoy some iconic old school board games.
Gabriel Jesus, John Stones, Leroy Sane, Tosin Adarabioyo, Karen Bardsley and Georgia Stanway are the stars of the Club’s Christmas photo this year, as they embraced the Christmas spirit alongside Mike Summerbee.
Kitted out in City Christmas jumpers they enjoyed some festive fun in the form of giant versions of Blues themed Guess Who, Monopoly and Top Trumps.
Meanwhile, several junior fans were invited along to recreate the photo, with adorable consequences.
From today, the full Christmas 2017 retail line, which includes two of the much-loved Christmas jumpers, as well as the Club themed board games, will be available online and at all official Manchester City stores.
For every Christmas jumper sold, City will donate an additional £5 to the Club’s official Foundation, City in the Community.
For more than 30 years, City in the Community has been using the power of football to empower better lives.
Club Ambassador Mike Summerbee has been a part of the annual City Christmas photo for the past three years and is embracing his new role: “It’s always a bit of fun to get all the players together and do something a bit different to launch our Christmas campaign!
“Every jumper sold will have a direct benefit to the local community in Manchester so we’re encouraging our fans to get involved.”
From 10 November, Manchester City’s festive line will also be on sale from the Club’s pop up store at the annual Manchester Christmas Markets.
